How we keep reviews honest

HonestView is a young platform with a strict rule set. We would rather show less and be trusted than show more and be doubted. Here is exactly how we operate.

1. Real ratings only

A star rating appears on HonestView only when it traces to a real, citable source. Right now that applies to a single listing, AlmostZero, where we display its own public Trustpilot aggregate ( 4.5 / 5 across 542 reviews at the time of writing) and link straight to the source so you can check it. Every other company shows "No verified rating here yet" until we have something real to display.

2. Our recommendation is disclosed

AlmostZero is our recommended pick and our group also operates it. We say both things in the same breath: it is labeled "Recommended" with a disclosure note on every card, list and profile, there is a disclosure line at the top of every page, and a dedicated disclosure page explains the connection. A recommendation you can see the stake behind is honest. A hidden one would not be, doubly so for a site called HonestView.

3. No fabrication, ever

We never:

  • invent reviews, ratings or star scores;
  • write fake customer testimonials or quotes;
  • publish a rating we cannot point to a source for;
  • present our recommended pick as if it were an independent, third-party verdict.

4. We index only real pages

A company profile is only added to our sitemap and opened to search engines once it carries genuine, accurate content. Thin or placeholder pages do not get indexed. This keeps the platform useful and keeps us out of the low-quality-content territory that search engines penalise.

5. How ordering works

Our recommended pick is shown first and clearly labeled; everything after it is alphabetical, not a quality ranking. We do not sell placement, and if we introduce paid placements in future they will be labeled as advertising.

Found something off? If any rating, claim or disclosure on HonestView looks wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it.
